 Corporate Officers - Management Team P. Dwight Tapp, Ph.D., MBA, CCRP Chief Executive Officer "Science is seeing the possible within the impossible" Dr. Tapp began his research career 15 years ago. His initial research focused on brain mechanisms of epilepsy and brain aging (including Alzheimer's disease), but later expanded to the application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) to evaluate brain aging and cancers. As a researcher, Dr. Tapp, has served as a scientific journal editor, published several book chapters and numerous research articles, and has presented his research findings at more than 30 national and international scientific conferences. His research findings are cited by several leading researchers and have been translated into five different languages. Following the completion of his PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience, Dr. Tapp completed a fellowship in Functional Onco-Imaging while simultaneously earning a Master's of Business Administration in Health Care. In 2005 he served as the Executive Director of Clinical Research Operations and Business Development for a large multi-practice Oncology Clinic in Southern California before merging his scientific and business interests to co-found ClinicAid Research Management Incorporated. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of ClinicAid. In addition to his role at ClinicAid, Dr. Tapp serves as the Vice President to the Orange County Board of Directors for the Wellness Community, a non-profit corporation serving cancer patients, and as a member of the Executive Committee, Board Development Committee, and Chairman of the Outreach Committee for this organization. He is also a member of the Bioethics Committee for the Alzheimer's Association of Orange County and maintains active memberships in numerous scientific and professional organizations. Gary R. Slizgi Chief Business Development Officer "Conducting efficient and quality clinical trials shortens the time the patient is waiting." Gary joined ClinicAid in July 2007. Prior to working at ClinicAid, he was Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for a full service Phase I CRO in southern California growing the business from 2.6MM to 12MM in three years. Gary has over 20 years of pharmaceutical experience in Development Operations working more recently at Pfizer where he was Senior Director and Site Head overseeing a staff of 150 CRAs, data managers, programmers, statisticians, and medical writers. Prior to Pfizer, he had worked with DuPont-Merck and The Upjohn Company. Gary has experience in multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiovascular, CNS, transplant, HIV, and clinical pharmacology. He has been involved in several NDA filings. He received his B.A. in biology from Boston University and an M.S. in physiology and biochemistry from Duke University. Kim Tran, D.O., MBA Chief Operations Officer "Research is the art of seeing what everyone else has seen, and doing what no one else has done." In December 2005, Dr. Tran joined the Executive Team of ClinicAid Research Management as the Chief Operations Officer and Secretary to the Board of Directors. Prior to her role at ClinicAid, Dr. Tran was involved in the strategic development and performance benchmarking of the clinical research program as the Assistant Research Director for a large multi-center Oncology practice in Southern California. Originally trained in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England, Dr. Tran completed a residency program in family medicine at Western Pennsylvania Hospital/Temple University School of Medicine, before assuming the role of Medical Director for a multi-practitioner clinic in Los Angeles. Shortly after accepting this position, Dr. Tran enrolled in a Master's of Business Administration in Health Care at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. She completed her MBA in 2005 and for a brief period, served as the Associate Director of Executive Programs and Marketing for the business school.
